OUR QUALITY STANDARDS FOR ORDER MULTIPLICATION

Orchids are our passion. During the propagation of orchids, our top priority is to achieve the best quality for our customers. Therefore, we have developed methods for successful meristem propagation over the past decades. Every culture media for production of this demanding tissue culture is continuously developed and optimized.

QUALITY EXAMPLES OF DIFFERENT GENERIC GROUPS OF ORCHIDS

Oncidium

Generic group of the orchid family with 336 species.

Paphiopedilum

Generic group with about 100 species. Also known as Lady’s slipper.

Phalaenopsis

Most popular ornamental plant – also known as butterfly orchid.

Zygopetalum

Generic group with 14 registered plant species.

Colmanara

Multigeneric hybrids of Miltonia, Odontoglossum and Oncidium.

Miltonia

Generic group including 10 known species.

Besides Phalaenopsis meristems, there are also numerous other orchid species such as multigenus hybrids, Miltonia, Oncidien, Zygopetalum, Paphiopediulum in our laboratory. The production of seedlings is also part of our offer. Many successful growers have their seedlings sown in our laboratories.

MATURE PROPAGATION METHODS ENSURE SUCCESSFUL GROWTH

Because of sophisticated propagation methods (shoot by shoot) and culture media of our own development, our Phalaenopsis meristems are of excellent quality. Our young plants are characterized in particular by very good rooting, strong habitus and uniform size. Healthy and fast growing clones are the best basis for successful cultivation in the greenhouse. Due to continuous research and the development of new culture media and propagation methods, we are able to rely on some great experience, especially in processing of cross-bread clones that are difficult to grow.

A TEST FOR PLANT PATHOGENIC VIRUSES IS OF COURSE OBLIGATORY FOR US

At intervals of six to eight months, all clones are checked twice for infection with ORSV and CyMV. With this double check, we offer our customers the highest level of safety. These tests are carried out in the Netherlands by “NAKT”.
